After 2 years of activity and 2000 complaints later, Mr. Söderman will speak about some of the results achieved for European citizens.
He will also report on his own initiative inquiry on transparency within the European institutions and bodies that led to his first Special Report to the European Parliament.

Jacob Söderman has occupied many key fonctions during a long career in public life.
He was a member of the Finnish Parliament from 1972-1982, has been Minister of Justice and Minister for Social Affairs and Health and has also served on a number of government commissions. He was the Finnish representative to the ILO for three years and Governor of the Province of Uusimaa for 7 years.
He has been rewarded with several honours both in Finland and abroad and has lectured extensively on issues of human rights and the role of the Ombudsman.
