Replacement of sickness insurance carnets by
membership certificates

With the aim of simplifying administrative procedures, sickness insurance
carnets will no longer be issued.
If you need to receive proof of your membership of the Joint Sickness
Insurance Scheme (JSIS), certificates can be supplied for you and your
family.
Please contact your Settlements Office (see list of contacts below,
specifying the following elements:
- your personnel/pension number;
- the name of the family member needing the certificate;
- your first and second choice of language required for the
certificate.
We would like to remind you that, as was the case for the carnets,
certificates are in no way obligatory.
Please also note that possession of a certificate in no way guarantees
your right to reimbursement, the rights as registered in our computer
being the authentic point of reference.
They do not replace the letter of direct billing issued by the JSIS in
case of hospitalisation.
