On 7 April 2004 the College of the Heads of Administration
approved by written procedure Conclusion 224/04 (see annex), which is
applicable within the Commission from 1 May 2004.

Where officials, temporary staff or contract staff leave one Institution
to work for another Institution within the same category or within one of
the other aforementioned categories, they are entitled to the severance
grant referred to in Article 12 of Annex VIII to the Staff Regulations and
in Articles 39 and 109 of the Conditions of Employment of other servants
only if they stop working for the Communities for at least two months.
This Conclusion shall apply from 1 May 2004. It repeals and replaces
Conclusion 168/87, which was approved by the Heads of Administration at
their 160th meeting held on 12 May 1987.
