On 7 April 2004 the College of the Heads of Administration
approved by written procedure Conclusion 230/04 (see annex), which is
applicable within the Commission from 1 May 2004.

Calculation of the special levy
introduced by Article 66a of the Staff Regulations (Council Regulation
No 723/2004 of 22.03.2004) for officials and other staff working
part-time |

The Heads of Administration conclude that the special levy should be
calculated according to the following formula for officials and other
staff working part-time:
The special levy shall be calculated according to the percentage of the
basic salary to which the official or other staff member working part-time
is entitled, minus the amounts stipulated in the two indents of Article
66a(3)(a) of the Staff Regulations, namely:
-
social security and pension contributions and the tax,
before the deduction of any amounts under the special levy, payable by an
official in the same grade and step without dependants within the meaning
of Article 2 of Annex VII to the Staff Regulations
and
-
an amount equal to the basic salary of an official in
Grade 1, step 1[1].
This Conclusion shall apply from 1 May 2004.
It repeals and replaces Conclusion 95/83, approved by the Heads of
Administration at their 149th meeting held on 4 January 1984, and the
supplementary Conclusion of 30 March 1984.
