COMMISSION DECISION
of 7.4.2004
on the allowance for living conditions (Article 10 of Annex X to the Staff
Regulations)
Article 10 of Annex X to the new Staff Regulations provides that the
allowance for living conditions for places of employment in non member
countries will be 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 %, depending on the points
total in respect of the five parameters laid down, in accordance with the
following table:

The allowance for living conditions will:
- go up, from 25% to 30%, for 9 countries: Cape Verde, Ethiopia, India,
Laos, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Vietnam and Zambia;
- go down, from 35% to 30%, for 9 countries: Albania, Burkina Faso,
Cambodia, Djibouti, Guyana, Haiti, Indonesia, Mali and Pakistan;
- go up, from 35% to 40%, for 8 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh,
Central African Republic, Chad, Liberia, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone
and Sudan.
The annexed table
shows the allowance for living conditions for all places
of employment in accordance with the new Staff Regulations.
