Exemption from paying the obligatory contribution for
European officials and their dependent family members
IMPORTANT: This Administrative Notice is addressed to officials,
temporary agents, contract agents, detached teachers and pensioners and to
their dependent family members, resident in Flanders and having already
introduced to the Flemish Social Care authorities (the “Vlaamse Zorgkas”)
a request for exemption from compulsory membership of their scheme.(1)
In order to sort out your exemption file once and for all, the “Vlaamse
Zorgkas” will be sending you in the next few days a letter, accompanied by
a questionnaire.
You must complete this questionnaire yourself and return it to the
“Vlaamse Zorgkas” by 26 October 2005 at the latest.
Your Institution is requested to certify the information contained in
Sections 5 and 7 of the questionnaire (stamp and signature).
In order to simplify the practical modalities for the Institutions and
taking into account the very short timescale fixed by the Flemish
authorities for returning the questionnaire, you are requested NOT
to send the questionnaire to your Administration.
To this end, a certificate containing the information requested of the
Institutions, as detailed in Sections 5 and 7 of the questionnaire, will
be sent to you as soon as possible by the Central Office of the Joint
Sickness Insurance Scheme (JSIS) and in any case, by 11 October 2005.
This certificate should be annexed to your completed questionnaire and
returned to the “Vlaamse Zorgkas”, Boulevard Albert II, n° 7, 1210
Brussels, before 26 October 2005.
It should be emphasised that everyone concerned is responsible for the
accuracy of the data they supply to the “Vlaamse Zorgkas”. The JSIS can
only certify the accuracy of the data concerning social security.
Please find attached a free translation in French of the letter
and
questionnaire which you will be receiving.
