2010 medals for 20 years of European public service

This Administrative Notice concerns the awarding of this year's medals for 20 years of European public service and the publication of the list of medallists. By presenting its staff with this medal, the Commission wishes to express its recognition for services rendered to European integration.

Who is eligible ?

This medal is awarded to officials and other staff who have been in active service for 20 years with the European Institutions and associated bodies, in application of the Staff Regulations and the Conditions of Employment of Other Staff. The date fixed for the calculation of seniority is 31 December 2010. This applies even if there has been an interruption in service, as long as the total amount of years in activity (possible leave on personal grounds - CCP - deducted) is equal to 20 years.

How will we celebrate this milestone ?

The ceremony for staff achieving 20 years of European public service in 2010 will take place towards the end of the year. Once the date has been fixed, you will receive a personal invitation.

Is your name missing from the list ?

An alphabetic list of the 2010 medallists has been established.

If you, as an official or other member of staff are not on the list, but have nevertheless worked 20 years in European public service, please get in contact with us by 26 May 2010, either by sending an email to HR BXL ACTIONS DE RECONNAISSANCE or by post to HR.C.1, MO-34 01/120.
