Conditions that must be fulfilled for a Eurostar train ticket to be reimbursed, either for a
mission or for annual leave.

For the purposes of mission expenses, the Eurostar is classed as a train on which a
supplement is payable (see "Guide to Missions", chapter III, paragraph 2).

The cost of the Eurostar ticket is therefore reimbursed on presentation of the supporting
documents (tickets).

Officials may have the cost of a Eurostar ticket reimbursed if this means of transport is
used for annual leave, on presentation of the ticket.

To be eligible for reimbursement, the rail ticket must cover the whole journey between the
place of employment and the place of origin.

The flat-rate payment of travel costs will continue to be calculated on the usual basis of
the shortest and most economical route by rail between the place of employment and the
place of origin.
