Addendum: Replacement of sickness insurance carnets by membership certificates

In addition to administrative notice N°54-2003, please note that the sickness insurance booklets which were issued in the past remain valid as long as the person is covered by the Scheme. A membership certificate is thus not necessary.

Moreover, certificates will only be delivered if absolutely indispensable, i.e. when the affiliate needs to prove his/her membership with the Joint Sickness Insurance Scheme (for example : registration of a dependent child at university, registration of a pensioner with the local authorities of the place of residence (Commune),...)
