COMMISSION DECISION

amending Decision C(2005) 1792 of 16 June 2005 on the exercise of powers conferred by the Staff Regulations on the Appointing Authority and by the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants on the Authority Responsible for Concluding Contracts of Employment

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to Article 2(1) of the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Communities,

Having regard to Article 6 of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities,

Whereas:

1. On 16 June 2005 ⁽¹⁾ , the Commission adopted a decision on the powers conferred by the Staff Regulations on the Appointing Authority and by the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants on the Authority Responsible for Concluding Contracts of Employment.
    
2. Experience, and changes made to the structure of Commission staff, have shown that it is no longer justified to maintain significantly different regimes for staff paid from the research and technological development budget and staff paid from the administrative appropriations. The appointing authority tables for DG RTD and DG JRC should therefore be amended to reflect the convergence achieved over recent years in policies for these two categories of staff,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Commission Decision C(2005) 1792 of 16 June 2005 on the exercise of powers conferred by the Staff Regulations on the Appointing Authority and by the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants on the Authority Responsible for Concluding Contracts of Employment [COM(2004) 1606] is hereby amended as follows:

• the Annex “AA Tables/Research/RTD” is replaced by Annex I to this Decision;
   
• the Annex “AA Tables/Research/JRC” is replaced by Annex II to this Decision.

Article 2

This Decision shall apply from the date of its adoption.
