LIST OF THE 116 OFFICIALS AUTHORISED TO
FOLLOW THE TRAINING PROGRAMME IN 2008
This Administrative Notice concerns the officials whose applications
to the 2007 certification exercise have been pre-selected.
On 15 April 2008, the Appointing Authority adopted the list of the 116
officials authorised to take part in the 2008 training programme under the
2007 certification procedure.
List of officials authorised to follow the training programme
That list is published in Annex 1. The number of officials listed
exceeds 110 (number of officials to be authorised to follow the training
programme as per Appointing decision of 20 November 2007 –
Administrative notice 50-2007) by the addition of the candidates who
obtained the same number of points as the last official selected (7,5
points).
Officials whose names appear on the list are invited to consult the
information below on the compulsory training programme.
Reply to the appeals launched
For further information on the response to appeals against the number
of points obtained as a result of the analysis by the DGs and Services
and on the complaints procedure, please see Annex 2.
COMPULSORY TRAINING PROGRAMME
The 116 officials whose names are listed in the Annex 1 are authorised
to follow the training programme to be run in 2008 by the European
Administrative School (EAS), to which the Commission has delegated the
design and organisation of the inter-institutional training programme.

Officials included in the list in the Annex 1 who take parental leave
under Article 42a of the Staff Regulations, family leave under Article 42b
or maternity leave under Article 58, before or during the period of the
training programme, will be authorised, if they so wish, to postpone the
training until the following year without having to reapply.

RESPONSE TO APPEALS AGAINST THE NUMBER OF POINTS OBTAINED AS A RESULT OF
THE ANALYSIS BY THE DGS AND SERVICES
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Following publication of the list of the best-ranked pre-selected
candidates (see Administrative Notice 15-2008 of 14 March 2008),
pre-selected candidates who disputed the number of points obtained could
make a substantiated appeal to the Joint Certification Committee.
At its meeting held on 9 April 2008, the Joint Committee issued an opinion
on each of the appeals lodged.
Officials who appealed may consult their certification file in Sysper 2
to see the response of the Appointing Authority to their appeal. This
information is accessible by clicking on the "Summary" tab under "File
history".
Article 90(2) of the Staff Regulations permits a complaint to be made
against the decision of the Appointing Authority. How to do this is
