Allowance for living conditions (LCA)
in countries outside the European Union
(Article 10 of Annex X to the Staff Regulations)
2009 financial year
In accordance with Article 10(1) of Annex X to the Staff Regulations,
an allowance for living conditions is fixed according to the place of
employment of officials, temporary staff and contract staff. The
Appointing Authority must review that allowance each year and, where
appropriate, adjust it after obtaining the opinion of the Staff Committee.
On 17 March 2009 the AIPN adopted a decision fixing the LCAs for these
countries from 1 January 2009.
The rates for the LCAs of these places of employment are set out in the
table at annex.
