This administrative notice concerns officials, temporary staff and contract staff having dependent children at school and whose place of employment is at least 50 km from a European school.

Subject: Interpretation of the concept of a European school for the purposes of doubling the ceiling of the education allowance
(third subparagraph of Article 3(1) of Annex VII to the Staff Regulations)

At their 296th meeting, on 17 March 2010, the Heads of Administration approved Conclusion 257/09 (see Annex), which shall apply within the Commission from the 2010/2011 school year.
