NEW SYSPER2 TIME MANAGEMENT MODULE

SIC Congés has been replaced. From now on, you will manage your working time using the new Sysper2 Time Management module. You can use it to enter your leave and other absences or to file applications for part-time work, parental leave or family leave.

Whatever your place of employment, you will now be required to use the Sysper2 Time Management module if you are a member of Commission staff covered by the Staff Regulations (Commission official or temporary, contractual or auxiliary staff member), a seconded national expert or a trainee. However, as a seconded national expert or a trainee, you will not immediately be able to use all the functionalities.

Although SIC Congés and e-HR can no longer be used to file leave applications, you still have access in case you need to check previous data. The human resources departments, however, continue to be able to verify and correct data.

Carryover of unused annual leave from SIC Congés to Sysper2 Time Management

  1. If you have 12 unused days of annual leave or less, you need to do nothing. Your unused leave will be carried over automatically to Sysper2 Time Management.

  2. 2. If you have more than 12 days of unused annual leave, you have to apply for carryover using Sysper2 Time Management, but you cannot do so before 19 January 2007.

What to do with supporting documents

Supporting documents containing personal information must be sent in paper form as before.

Please note:

  • If your application for special leave, part-time work or parental leave contains medical information, you may block out the medical details you consider confidential (for example, the doctor's specialty), but the administration must be able to ascertain the reason for the application.

  • If you are applying for sick leave or family leave, you must send your medical certificate direct to the Medical Service as before.

  • You cannot use Sysper2 Time Management to apply for sick leave away from your place of employment or for special leave to travel outside the place of employment for a medical examination or medical treatment. Both applications require that the Medical Service issue an opinion.
