Use of Telework in the Commission services
The Communication on the use of teleworking in the Commission
services and the guidelines for its implementation, in annex to this
Administrative Notice, were adopted on 21 December 2006 and are to be
applied in all Directorates General by 1 April 2007 at the latest.
These guidelines replace any comparable document in use under the pilot
projects undertaken in some services.
The guidelines are applicable to all staff employed in the Institution,
whatever their status: this includes officials, temporary staff,
auxiliary staff, contract staff and Detached National Experts: staff
working for contractors, persons with contracts for services and interim
staff are not concerned.
The management is decentralized at the level of each Directorate
General. The guidelines set basic principles that will be refined by
each Directorate General when launching the exercise.
