ATTESTATION PROCEDURE FOR 2005 CLASSIFICATION OF ADMITTED OFFICIALS
This Administrative Notice concerns those C* and D* officials who are
considered as being admitted to participate in the attestation procedure
for the 2005 exercise.
The draft list of officials admitted to participate in the attestation procedure for the 2005 exercise has been published in the Administrative Notices N° 76-2005 and N° 77-2005. Following the appeals lodged before the Joint Attestation Committee, the appointing authority has decided to add the following official to the list: M. SNIJKERS, Patrick JRC The criteria used to classify the list of officials whose applications have been accepted in order of priority are set out in Article 6(1) of the Commission decision of 7 April 2004: the level of training; seniority in category C* or D*; experience and merit assessed on the basis of the latest career development reports. All officials admitted may see the number of points obtained and their classification by looking in the ‘attestation’ file accessible in Sysper2 (tab ‘Calculation’, sub-tab ‘Classification’), as from the date of publication of this Administrative Notice. They may also check the method of calculation used. Only admitted officials whose potential to undertake category B* tasks was duly recognised in their career development report for 2004 may be awarded points at this stage of the classification. based upon criteria of merit and training.
If you dispute the total points obtained, you have ten working days following the publication of this list to bring a substantiated appeal before the Joint Attestation Committee. It must be made via your attestation file in Sysper2. Reasons must be given: after clicking on ‘Lodge an appeal’, you will have a field in which you can write as much as you like; official documents supporting the appeal must be attached (tab Attachments). If for persistent reasons you do not have access to Sysper2, the appeal may be sent in writing, stating reasons, to:
European Commission The list of officials contained in Annexes I and II will be submitted to the Joint Attestation Committee. This Committee will also give an opinion on the appeals which have been lodged. The Committee will make a proposal to the appointing authority for the separation of the ex aequo officials. As stipulated in the appointing authority’s decision of 11th May 2005, account will be taken of grade, equal opportunity aspects and information contained in the career development report of 2004 relating to the potential for the officials concerned. Following the deliberations of the Joint Committee, the appointing authority will publish a list of the 400 officials authorised to apply for vacant posts in the AST function group in 2006. |
