Distribution of responsibilities within DG HR

– Amendment –

By decision of 3 February 2010⁽¹⁾ the Director-General of the Directorate-General Human Resources and Security (DG HR) has laid down competences of services inside DG HR to exercise powers of Appointing Authority and of Authority Responsible for Concluding Contracts of Employment.

In the meantime Commission Decision C (2010) 3680 of 15 June 2010⁽²⁾ has redistributed Appointing Authority powers among the different Commission services. In advance of a more comprehensive update of sub-delegations in DG HR, the decision published hereafter amends the Annex to the Decision of 3 February 2010 by a new sub-delegation concerning inter-institutional vacancy notices.

DECISION
OF THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL FOR HUMAN RESOURCES AND SECURITY AMENDING HER DECISION OF 3 FEBRUARY 2010 ON THE EXERCISE OF THE POWERS CONFERRED ON THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY AND THE AUTHORITY RESPONSIBLE FOR CONCLUDING CONTRACTS OF EMPLOYMENT

The Director-General for Human Resources and Security,

Having regard to Article 2 of the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Union,

Having regard to Article 6 of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants,

Having regard to the Commission Decision of 15 June 2010⁽³⁾, on the exercise of the powers conferred by the Staff Regulations on the Appointing Authority and by the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants on the Authority Empowered to Conclude Contracts of Employment, and in particular the first paragraph of Article 6 thereof,

Whereas:

1. With effect from 3 February 2010 the exercise of the powers of Appointing Authority and of Authority Responsible for Concluding Contracts of Employment has been redistributed within the Directorate-General Human Resources and Security (DG HR).
    

2. The Commission Decision referred to above has assigned the responsibility for decisions on the inter-institutional publication of vacancy notices to the Director General for Human Resources and Security. This new competence should be sub-delegated to the appropriate services inside DG HR,

Has adopted this decision:

Article 1

In the Annex to the Decision of the Director General for Human Resources and Security of 3 February 2010⁽⁴⁾ , Table I (Filling vacant posts) is replaced by the Annex to the present decision.

Article 2

This decision shall take effect on the day of its publication, in electronic version, in the Administrative Notices.
