Suite  à la réunion organisée entre le CLP, les représentants des APEEE de Bruxelles avec M. Juraj NOCI AR, chef de Cabinet du Vice Président Šefčovič, le CLP regrette, par une lettre adressée au Vice Président, qu'aucun effort supplémentaire n'ait été entrepris au sein de la Commission pour augmenter l'enveloppe budgétaire des écoles européennes pour 2012.

Le CLP réitère sa demande d'entamer un audit indépendant sur l'utilisation des ressources dans le système des écoles européennes et se felicite du débat au PE concernant le rapport Cavada sur l'avenir des Ecoles.

NO TO BUDGETARY CUTS IN THE EUROPEAN SCHOOLS - NON AUX RESTRICTIONS BUDGETAIRES DANS LES ECOLES EUROPEENNES
Dear colleagues,

The staff representation of all the European institutions (Central Staff Committees, Local Staff Committees, Trade Unions ) organised a demonstration on Wednesday 12th April in close co-operation with the Parents Associations of the European Schools as well as with the pupils.It was a great success!!

The photos can be found on the Brussels local staff committee web site as well as a television report on Telebruxelles.


Petitions were deposited with:

· the Commission during the meeting with Vice President Šefčovič and

· the European Parliament, during the meeting with the chair of the Petitions Committee, Ms Mazzoni.

· the Secretariat of the Governing Body of the European Schools (check title in English)


A meeting has been arranged with the President of the European Parliament , Jerzy Buzek , on 19 th April.

We will keep you informed of the course of events.

During the plenary LSC meeting of 13 April 2010, the LSC members held a minute's of silence to mark their solidarity and sympathy with the Polish people, and with Polish colleagues in particular, who were struck particularly hard by the tragic loss of President Lech Kaczynski and so many others in the airplane crash in Russia on 10 April 2010.

The plenary session of the LSC focused primarily on the next enrolment policy in the European Schools and on the "bureaux paysagers", "open space" (meeting with staff from OIB and DG Admin).

The promotion lists have now been published. Read all about it on the IntraComm page Administrative notices. An analysis of the results of this evaluation and promotion exercise has been discussed during the meeting of the Central Staff Committee (CSC) of 19-20 November. Nearly 4.000 appeals have been introduced, of which nearly 25% received a positive decision. The CSC members also concluded that the new system did not reach the main goal to speed up both exercises in comparaison with the previous system.
